Sight seeing - 4 days in San Pedro de Atacama

After our mammoth bus ride from Santiago we arrived in San Pedro de Atacama.
The bus ride was 21hours. WOW.  Such a long way, but we travelled in comfort.  The seats were like Business Class in a Plane.  We watched a couple of movies that were actually in English, and were even given little ziplock bags with sandwiches, cookies and drinks several times along the way.
1 hour from San Pedro de Atacama Emma felt sick and went ghostly white before rushing to the toilets (most unlike business class of a plane!) and vomitted several times. Not ideal.
We finally pulled into the bus station and put our bikes and panniers etc back together and headed into town to find a hostel.  It was a different world.  Hot and dry and desert!  The town was a bit overwelming with tourists everywhere and so many expensive hostel options.  Nex minute.... a flamboyant cyclist asked us if we were looking for a hostel and guided us to his house.  We got a private room at a reasonable price out of the bustle of town.  Perfect.  We ended up staying 4 nights.  It feels like home.

Such a different world.  We don´t even bother packing our jackets!!!

Amazing scenery amongst a lot of nothingness.
Volcanoes, lagoons and valleys everywhere

The famous serpentine single track mountain bikers dream of.  Not quite the Redwoods but pretty cool

Lagoona Cejar. Similar to the deadsea with it´s high salt content

Wow

No, it´s not snow Debbie

Dwarfed by the landscape
